Experienced NP or PA - UVA Health Specialty and Same Day Care Culpeper

UVA Specialty and Same Day Care Culpeper is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Primary Care Family Medicine.

• Practice Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

• Setting: Outpatient only

• Call: Rotating coverage

• Loan Forgiveness: Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible

• Experience: At least 2-3 years as an Advanced Practice Provider

• Education: Graduate of accredited NP or PA program with Masters degree

• Licensure:

  • Licensed (or license-eligible) in Virginia as NP or PA

  • If NP, must hold RN license in Virginia

  • Current BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable

• Must meet UVA Health System credentialing and board requirements

• Provide patient assessment and management in outpatient primary care

• Perform physical exams, histories, and diagnostic evaluations

• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other studies

• Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies per Virginia regulations

• Educate and support patients and families about diagnoses and care plans

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interprofessional care teams

• Participate in call coverage and patient follow-up

• Maintain compliance with UVA Health System policies and quality standards

• Stay current through continuing education and professional development

• Standing for prolonged periods; frequent bending/reaching

• Computer use and documentation

• Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs

• Exposure to noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease
