Housekeeping Technician

Service and Trade PRN (as needed, less than 20 hours per week) , Evenings , 8.0

Some of the major job functions include but are not limited to:

• Performs routine housekeeping tasks to include cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and re-stocking supplies throughout the hospital and premises under contract for housekeeping services.
• Provides trash removal and disposal for all hospital departments.
• Insures adequate supplies are available to complete daily tasks.
• Follows safety and infection control policies and all other hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Attends required department meetings, in-services, and continuing education classes.
• Occasional floor maintenance to include shampooing of carpets or buffing of floors.
• Performs as shift leader as assigned by Directors or Supervisors.
• Performs other job related duties as required by Directors and Supervisors.

Non-exempt

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

1 year experience in Housekeeping preferred

• Must be able to see and read English language instructions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to communicate verbally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to sweep/mop, push/bend repetitively
