Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions)
Location:
Fredericksburg and Culpepper, VA (in‑office only, not remote)
Base pay: $55,000.00/yr – $65,000.00/yr
Typical total first‑year compensation ranges from $55k – $75k, with potential for top performers to earn over $100k.
DescriptionWe are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Fredericksburg and Culpepper, VA offices. Success in this role requires building a strong local network, in‑person relationship building in the community, and a proactive approach to prospecting and sales. The role is not remote and involves frequent in‑office engagement with customers.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain a local network of prospects and customers.
- Sell personal lines products, including auto, home, life, and additional coverages.
- Generate and nurture leads, leveraging both traditional and modern outreach methods.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and commission goals.
- Manage policy renewals and upsell additional coverage to existing clients.
- Collaborate with team members to secure commissions on referrals and team‑closed deals.
- Previous sales experience with a proven track record of converting prospects into customers.
- State insurance license—or willingness to earn one—with training and support in Property & Casualty and Life.
- Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Well‑developed persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Effective time‑management and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
- Familiarity with building and growing leads and customer base.
- Uncapped pay, including base salary, bonuses, and renewal commissions.

- Paid training (including licensing training) and mentorship programs.
- Sales support and commission on lead generation even if other team members close the deal.
