Fly Quest is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to be based in its Culver City office. Primary responsibilities will include managing the company’s financials while ensuring timely and accurate reporting, bookkeeping, leading AR and AP, FP&A support, supporting the company’s accountants with its yearly tax compliance, and ensuring basic compliance with local and state jurisdictions.

• Manage the accounting and bookkeeping functions, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and that all financial transactions are recorded properly.
• Maintain accurate financial records and manage general ledger, fixed assets schedule, accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Establish proper accounting and financial processes, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the CEO and family office.
• Complete monthly, quarterly and annual book close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packet for external and internal stakeholders, including budget to actual variance report and analysis.
• Manage the budget of the organization, including forecasting revenue and expenses, and ensuring that the organization stays within its financial limits.
• Conduct financial planning and analysis to optimize financial performance and support business decision making.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements, including filing of annual reports and preparing annual tax returns.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, CPA certification a plus.
• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management.
• Strong experience in general bookkeeping and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, compliance requirements, and GAAP.
• Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience and proficiency in Quick Books Online, Expensify, and
• Advanced skill and experience in Microsoft Office Excel.
