X-Ray Technician/MA

Reports to:

Center Manager

Job Summary

The X-Ray Technician/MA will be responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician.

Core Responsibilities

  • Adheres to standards of business conduct and compliance.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information.
  • Prepares treatment rooms and positions instruments and equipment.
  • Hands instruments and materials to doctors as directed.
  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
  • Inventories and orders medical supplies.
  • Operates diagnostic equipment and schedules tests.
  • Administers injections, performs laboratory tests, and maintains records.
    • Qualifications
    • Current limited X-Ray permit issued by the California Department of Public Health (digital radiography, chest, extremities, and torso-skeletal preferred).
    • CPT I certification.
    • Experience with EKGs, blood draws, vital signs, and IM injections.
    • Ability to work under pressure and be quick on your feet.
    • Neat, professional appearance.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Vocational certificate in Medical Assistant.
    Working Conditions

    Center-based clinical setting with moderate noise level, potential exposure to infectious diseases, ability to stand and sit for hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and travel up to 5%.
