Human Resources Coordinator – Join to apply at UNFOLD

UNFOLD () is an award‑winning digital creative agency providing services to dynamic entertainment and brand clients across the digital landscape. We specialize in social media, online advertising, key art design, and web development, creating digital content that audiences can’t ignore.

We are seeking local (to Los Angeles) candidates who will join us in our Culver City office two times a week.

As an HR Coordinator, you will assist the HR/Recruiting team in day‑to‑day operations, including employee records, onboarding, recruitment, training, and various administrative HR tasks. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources and gain hands‑on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment Support – Post job openings, source and screen candidates, schedule interviews, gather feedback, draft offers/contracts, and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding – Support new employee and contractor onboarding, ensure documentation completion, introduce hires to the company, and manage exit interviews and paperwork.
  • Employee Records Management – Maintain and update employee files, keeping them accurate, confidential, and compliant with policies and legal requirements.
  • HR Administrative Support – Process HR documentation such as status changes, performance reviews, and benefits administration.
  • Training Coordination – Help schedule training sessions, register employees, provide materials, and track completion and certifications.
  • Payroll and Benefits Assistance – Assist payroll processing by collecting timesheets, entering data, resolving discrepancies, and help employees with benefits inquiries.
  • Employee Relations – Serve as the first point of contact for basic HR questions or issues and escalate complex concerns to senior staff.
  • Compliance and Reporting – Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulations; prepare HR metric reports.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Digital Agency / Ad Agency experience is a huge plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to multi‑task within a busy environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices and labor laws (preferred, but not required).
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft (Excel, Word, Docs).
  • Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Salary for this position can start around $60,000+ annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience and expertise.
