Job Description & How to Apply Below

Viz Ops is the analytics and information design team within Operational Insights. It runs OI’s Tableau environment as a governed product: shared visual and development standards, standardized intake and QA, and certified data products that are accurate, fast, and trusted.

This contract role owns the Certified Data Source layer over the company’s paid media data and builds Tableau dashboards for Lines of Business across paid channels. It also supports the financial reconciliation work for affiliate programs.

A portfolio of live, interactive Tableau work is required to apply. See Portfolio Requirement below.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Certified Data Sources: maintain the Tableau Prep flows built on the paid-media data warehouse, add fieldsand joins, standardize dimensions and metadata, and keep the semantic layer analysts depend on reliable.
  • Design, build, and iterate Tableau dashboards for LoB stakeholders. Work from a project spec through fixed beta cycles, and follow Viz Ops visual and development standards.
  • Investigate and resolve recurring data accuracy issues, including periodic payments-business data QA cycles and quarterly wrap reporting.
  • Run monthly affiliate commission reconciliation (streaming video and music programs, via Partnerize) and support annual PO setup.
  • Find data issues and route them to the owning platform team through the standard ticket process.
  • Document the likely root cause, but don’t fix upstream data yourself.
  • Build and maintain team infrastructure: data-connector alerting, data-sharing documentation, and lightweight

    Python/SQL automation.
  • Plan and track work in the team’s project management system. Take part in sprint planning, weekly WIP reviews, and peer review.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in marketing analytics, media reporting, or BI development
  • Advanced Tableau: data modeling, published data sources, Prep, LODs, performance tuning, and dashboard design
  • A portfolio of interactive Tableau dashboards you built, available to review live
  • Strong SQL. Python for automation is a plus
  • Familiarity with paid media KPIs and cost metrics across Display, Video, Social, SEM, and Affiliate
  • Comfortable using AI tools in daily analytics work
Portfolio Requirement

Please include one of the following:

  • A link to your Tableau Public profile
  • Links to live, interactive workbooks
  • A packaged workbook file (.twbx) you’re willing to share

If your professional work is confidential, publish one work book to Tableau Public using public or mock data. We care more about how you think through design and data decisions than about the subject matter.
