ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24-hour Emergency services located in Culver City. Our technicians work with some of the country’s most qualified doctors across multiple specialty departments. A tech’s day may involve a Macaw with a broken beak, time in advanced operating rooms, orthopedic procedures, or MRI work. We value caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned hospital setting.
RoleResponsibilities
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow with each hospital function.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
- 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician working extensively in specialty surgeries.
- Enjoy being a key player on a dynamic team providing the highest standard of patient care.
- Are comfortable caring for dogs and cats, or any other animal that may need emergency or urgent care.

CompensationNon-Credentialed Assistants $21/hr - $36/hr
Licensed Technicians $26/hr - $42/hr
VTS $43 - $45/hr
