Veterinary Technician – Emergency, Day Shift
Culver City, CA
ACCESS Los Angeles, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is a 24‑hour emergency referral hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll provide end‑to‑end care for patients, from outpatient treatments and lab tests to admission and discharge support.
Role Responsibilities- Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records using practice systems.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
- RVT preferred;
Licensed Technician or VTS competency. - 3 years veterinary assisting/technician experience.
- Positive work attitude; flexible schedule.
- Continuing education courses – Thrive
U library. - Virtual workshops to develop leadership skills.
- Earn AVMA‑CVTEA accreditation through distance learning.
