Home-Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) workers provide specialized intensive direct support services for children with a wide range of disabilities living king collaboratively with a licensed health care professional and family members, services are delivered in the home and community within age‑appropriate settings, aiming to develop social skills, communication, and positive behavior. Seven Hills offers opportunities for direct support professionals with many years of experience, as well as for college students, stay‑at‑home parents, paraprofessionals, and teachers seeking part‑time employment.
This role is especially suitable for CNAs, DSPs, childcare workers, daycare teachers, and residential counselors.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy to individuals ages 3 to 21, including role modeling and training for parents and families.
- Support the child and family by promoting individualized, person‑centered service delivery that meets all identified needs.
- Assist the child with self‑help and self‑care, and teach social and safety skills when applicable.
- Maintain ongoing communication and data reporting to clinicians and coordinators regarding the approved program.
- Perform duties that vary depending on each child's specific needs.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum two years of experience working successfully with children or adults in a special health care, education, or recreation setting; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field may be considered equivalent.
