Administrative/Clerical
Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Role Overview
You’ll support the secretary and chairman in running our small organisation – dealing with e‑mails, meeting people, writing reports – a great range.
Responsibilities- Responding to (or redirecting) queries and offers which come in to the Enquiries e‑mail address through the website or directly.
- Liaising with volunteers to identify training needs which could be met by the provisions of the county or regional museums’ organisations.
- Drafting returns and reports, to be reviewed by the Secretary and Chairman.
An orderly mind is probably the main requirement. You’ll be able to work with people, although not necessarily in groups.
You’ll be working largely from home, but closely with the trustees. A computer is essential – e‑mail will be one of the main tools, and experience in word‑processing very helpful. You’ll need a bit of time (perhaps five hours a week), but very flexible.
BenefitsThis role offers an opportunity to gain (or to use) experience in the administration of a small charity and all‑volunteer business as well as a small museum. Support to a small committee will be part of the role, which could easily grow as you might like.
You’re making a real contribution to an important component of the life of our Three Rivers communities, both helping the museum and helping people discover their area.
LocationThe museum is just off the High Street next to Watersmeet theatre. Parking is shown on the map on our website, and buses stop nearby. The Met Line station is about a 5‑minute walk.
