Job Summary

Things She Never Said is a new play that explores the heroines of the WWII Special Operations Executive (SOE). The project seeks three versatile actor‑musicians to join a two‑week R&D funded by Arts Council England, during which we will incorporate music, live song, and dynamic multi‑rolling into the material for the first time.

• Collaborate with the Director, Musical Director, Songwriter, writer and Movement Director to develop the script and material.
• Learn new musical material and perform live vocals while playing your instrument(s) within the ensemble.
• Experiment with multiple distinct characters across different ages and scenarios to help establish the storytelling framework.
• Participate in creative improvisational exercises throughout the two weeks to test narrative ideas and themes.
• Work fluidly as part of a four‑person ensemble, fostering a playful, experimental, and supportive rehearsal room environment.

• Strong acting technique with experience or an interest in multi‑rolling and ensemble storytelling.
• Excellent singing skills, with the ability to confidently hold a part in ensemble harmonies and learn new music quickly.
• Proficient in at least one instrument (Piano/Keys, Viola, Clarinet, Flute, Cello, Double Bass).
• A strong willingness to experiment, try new ideas, and physically or musically improvise in a workshop setting.
• An interest in new work and stories based off of true events.
