As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom during short-term or planned teacher absences, supervising pupils and ensuring learning continues smoothly. You’ll deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and maintain a positive and focused classroom environment across a range of secondary subjects.

• Supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson materials
• Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged throughout the lesson
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide support and guidance to pupils where appropriate
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leaders
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times

• A degree or equivalent qualification (essential)
• Confident classroom presence and the ability to manage behaviour
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexible, reliable and professional approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with secondary‑aged pupils
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
