A £5,250 Golden Hello is available for HR People Specialists, subject to the eligibility criteria outlined on the link below. This payment is only applicable to Regulars, it is not applicable to Reserves.
What will you do?- Advising on and administering pay and allowances, movements, travel and accommodation
- Preparing RAF personnel for deployment to operations and military exercises and supporting them throughout
- Providing welfare support to all personnel in the UK and overseas
- Desirable qualifications: GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above or Scottish National 5 or above at Grade C in English Language and Mathematics/Application of Mathematics. Potential for learning will be considered.
- 16 years old at entry, can start application at age 15 years and 9 months. Must be under 47 years and attest before 48th birthday.
- Specific Nationality and Residency criteria apply.
- Commit to a minimum of 3 years post Phase Two Training.
The desirable qualifications for this role are GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above or Scottish National 5 or above at Grade C in English Language and Mathematics/Application of Mathematics. If you join without the desired qualifications, we will provide a course in Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths in Phase 1 Training, which must be completed before progressing to Phase 2 Training.
TrainingPhases
- Phase 1: Basic Recruit Training – 10 weeks at RAF Halton, Buckinghamshire.
- Phase 2: Specialist training – 8 weeks at the Personnel Administration Training Wing, DSLA Worthy Down, Hampshire.
- Subsequent phases include ongoing training, first tour assignments, and career progression opportunities.
