The role invites you to lead the commercial management of complex civil engineering works on the Isle of Skye, as part of the Skye 132kV Reinforcement Project, a nationally significant infrastructure upgrade supporting the UK’s clean energy transition. You will contribute to the long‑term success of the project and team.

Hybrid; combining home, office and site‑based work depending on project needs.

Full‑time and part‑time applications are welcomed; flexible working arrangements can be explored.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will lead the commercial management of complex civil engineering works, ensuring value for money and compliance with NEC contracts. You’ll also support the development of junior staff and contribute to the long‑term success of the project and team.

• Prepare activity and resource schedules; analyze tender documents.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and third parties.
• Manage commercial documentation (CEN, EWN, GC) under NEC contracts.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain commercial registers.
• Develop procurement strategies and internal financial reports.
• Mentor junior commercial staff and support recruitment efforts.
• Ensure compliance with reporting standards and governance.

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Chartered or working towards RICS, ICES, or CIOB membership.
• Strong NEC contract administration experience.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong customer and business awareness.
• Ability to identify risks and opportunities.
• Experience in constructability analysis and programme management.
