Technical Director

Consortio is proud to be partnering with one of the world’s leading ship management companies in its search for a Technical Director to be based in Europe. This is a rare opportunity to join the company at executive level, taking on strategic and operational oversight of a major portion of its managed tanker fleet.

Working alongside an existing Technical Director, you’ll assume responsibility for a large segment of the fleet (division of vessels to be confirmed) and lead a sizeable team of between 30 to 50 direct reports. You’ll be central to driving performance, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining high safety and compliance standards across all vessels under your remit. The role offers international relocation support for the right candidate, making it ideal for someone who is looking to commit long-term to a high-level shore-based position with substantial influence and responsibility.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

• Have sailed to the rank of Chief Engineer or Master Mariner
• Have extensive shore-based experience in technical management
• Possess strong experience with tanker vessels
• Have a background managing large teams (30+ direct reports)
• Be willing to relocate if needed (sponsorship is available)
