Our client is an innovative and dynamic industry leading medical devices business who are recruiting for Senior Mechanical Engineer. They are now searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who wants to make a real difference and improve lives of over 371 million of people worldwide.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to oversee the transfer of the design to mass production and this will involve international travel. Also as a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will help to grow the portfolio of products offered to the patients around the world.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a key role within the new product multi discipline engineering development team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will lead and manage the mechanical design work on NPD throughout the product development lifecycle from early concept phase right through to product launch.

Key skills will be:

  • Mass production and manufacturing understanding
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong injection moulding knowledge within high volume manufacturing
  • Strong skills throughout PDLC and experienced in managing projects and experience developing consumer electronic devices

What you need?

  • A technical relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering teamed with engineering fundamentals and design experience
  • Familiar with CAD tools
  • Experience of working with 3rd party vendors
  • Knowledge of Plastics and Molding technology within high volume manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Mass Production Tooling and Manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Knowledge of test design, validation and execution in support of verification activities
  • Project management skills
  • Experience working in heavily regulated industry such as medical devices or aerospace and experience developing consumer electronic devices
