Overview

Advance Grid Solutions is expanding its engineering design team and we’re looking for a Civil CAD Technician to support delivery across BESS, substation and energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

General arrangements & site layouts
Concrete, RC & steelwork drawings
Working from mark‑ups and survey data to produce buildable drawings
Support temporary works (haul roads, working platforms, access) and opportunities for site visits

Preferred Qualifications

2–6 years’ experience in a civil / CAD role
Strong AutoCAD skills (Civil 3D beneficial)
BIM knowledge (advantageous)
Experience across infrastructure, energy or civil projects
Ability to turn sketches and mark‑ups into accurate drawings
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment

Working Environment

You’ll be working within a close‑knit team alongside a Chartered Civil Engineer and other design professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of renewable energy projects.

Scotland (with site visits as required)
