Traffic Technology Data Administrator Part time - Amey

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the central asset database for roadside monitoring and control equipment.
• Validate, cleanse and integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and run SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, transform and load (ETL) data for reporting and analysis.
• Produce GIS‑based visualisations and maps to support operational decision‑making.
• Collaborate with the Traffic Scotland team to troubleshoot data issues and support system upgrades.
• Participate in a shared on‑site rota, providing coverage across all days of the week.

• Proven experience with relational databases and SQL query development.
• Strong scripting skills in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data handling.
• Understanding of traffic management or transportation infrastructure data is preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in a hybrid model and adapt to a rotating schedule.
