Maintenance Engineer

You will have a dynamic and variable role and will have responsibility for ensuring continual plant and equipment availability through the provision of highly effective maintenance and repair for sitewide production equipment and facilities.

• Ensuring plant and equipment availability for all operational production activities
• Plant and equipment fault-finding and repair
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Maintenance and repair of a broad range of volume production plant and machinery
• Liaising with and supporting external contractors
• Ensuring all personnel on site comply with safe work practices
• Ensuring where possible production is not impacted.
• Carry out any special projects as required by management team
• Maintenance of records for repairs, breakdowns, installations etc
• Working with Operators to identify faults and improve ways of working

You will ideally have undertaken a traditional apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training programme, and have in-depth working experience of plant and equipment maintenance within a manufacturing / production or process environment. You will have previous experience of a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment and of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance and installation of a broad range of plant and equipment.
