Are you a hands‑on engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s FMCG engineering team and play a key role in keeping our production facility running efficiently, safely, and reliably. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern automated equipment within a continuous manufacturing environment, where your technical expertise, problem‑solving ability, and proactive mindset will directly contribute to operational performance.

As a Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of process, packaging, and site equipment. Working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team, you will help ensure minimal downtime and maximum production efficiency.

• Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on processing machinery, packaging equipment, and utilities.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures to minimise disruption to production.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and repair of plant machinery and facilities.
• Perform workshop duties, including machine repairs and component fabrication.
• Assist manufacturing teams with line adjustments, changeovers, and technical support.
• Identify and implement engineering improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and maintenance records.
• Work collaboratively with external contractors and engineering partners on site projects.
• Train and support colleagues on the safe use and maintenance of equipment.

• Engineering qualification such as HNC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi‑Skilled Engineering.
• Experience working in a high‑speed automated manufacturing environment (ideally FMCG or food production).
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with automated machinery, packaging equipment, and site services.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

• Experience with integrated control systems.
• Knowledge of automatic packaging and palletising systems.
• Familiarity with AC drives and/or servo drive systems.
