An excellent opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Cumbernauld. The purpose of the role is to ensure that all machinery and equipment is installed, maintained and operated to maximise production output and efficienc

  Provide technical support to ensure maximum efficiency from production and engineering assets, ensuring planned and corrective maintenance tasks are completed as s

  Carry out fault diagnosis and repair breakdowns promptly to ensure downtime is m

  Ensure maximum business benefit is gained from all budg

  Analyse line efficiency, wastage and downtime data with a view to identifying areas for performance imp

  Manage contractors as/when required to comply with contractor management pr

  Carry out all duties in accordance with safe working practices and factory hygiene s

  Liaise and support Project teams throughout all phases of the
• process.
  
  Provide a high level of customer service at

  Produce detailed written reports when and where required i.e. downtime sheets and line l
• og books.
  
  Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external customer base to ensure objectives and engineering strategy is d
• elivered.
  
  When identifying faulty equipment consult manufacturers manuals & read detailed mechanical exploded drawings so correct replacement parts can be
• ordered.
  
  Contribute appropriately to team meetings and support the implementation of all team ini
• tiatives.
  
  Operate machinery if required to ensure efficient manufacturing team

• l bring...
  Educated to City & Guilds level or equivalent in a Mechanical/Electrical engineering
• discipline.
  
  Preferably experienced within a multi skilled food manufacturing or FMCG e
• depth knowledge of maintenance systems and
• processes.
  
  Proven knowledge and experience of initiating and implementing continuous improvements, lean manufacturing and Six sigma
• IT skills.
