We're supporting a nationally significant infrastructure programme to appoint a Quality Manager within its Railway Directorate. This is a key client-side role providing quality leadership across complex engineering and construction delivery.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Quality Manager, you'll support delivery teams and the supply chain to embed a right-first-time ethos, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with rigorous quality standards. You'll act as a quality subject-matter expert, influencing outcomes across multiple work packages and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assure supply-chain compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, project requirements)
  • Conduct and manage risk-based quality audits and surveillance activities
  • Analyse NCRs, defects and trends, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are implemented
  • Support delivery teams with quality advice, reporting and performance insights
  • Promote lessons learned, best practice and continuous improvement
  • Support the review and acceptance of contractor quality documentation
  • Contribute to supplier selection and assurance from a quality perspective
  • Champion Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in all aspects of your work
About You
  • Degree / HND / HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or construction-related discipline
  • IRCA-approved ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
  • Strong knowledge of audit, assurance and quality management systems
  • Experience working within major infrastructure, construction or engineering environments
  • Confident communicator, able to influence without direct authority
  • Analytical, organised and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders
Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to play an important role on a high-profile London infrastructure programme, shaping safety culture and standards at scale, while benefiting from a supportive and flexible working environment.
