Chef at Indian Ocean Tandoori Ltd

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, and regional specialties.
• Create menus featuring traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine.
• Manage spice blends, marinades, and traditional preparations according to authentic Indian culinary standards.
• Operate and maintain tandoor ovens, grills, and other specialized kitchen equipment.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food cost and waste.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards according to food safety regulations.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques.
• Work with the Head Chef/Management on menu planning and seasonal dishes.
• Ensure consistency in flavor profiling across all dishes.
