As a backend developer, you will be responsible for developing and optimising backend services to ensure they are secure, scalable, and high-performing. You will build RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications and third-party services while working on cloud-based infrastructure to support a global payments system. Collaboration with Dev Ops teams will be key in streamlining CI/CD pipelines and ensuring smooth deployments.

Additionally, you will contribute to system architecture discussions, playing a role in shaping the company’s transition to a fully integrated payments ecosystem. Troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining high system availability, and continually enhancing performance, reliability, and scalability will also be central to the role.

• Two or more years of hands-on backend development experience in Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL) and high-performance query optimisation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops workflows, and monitoring/debugging tools.
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.
