Position: HGV Class 1 Driver (Trunking)
HGV Class 1 Driver – Cumbernauld – Trunk Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an  HGV Class 1 Driver  to join our well-established client based in  Cumbernauld .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an  LGV Class 1 Driver ,  CE Driver , or  Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Day shifts – start times from 10:00

£16.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
Depot-to-depot trunking
Trailer swaps and deliveries to shops and depots
Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time
Essential

Skills:

Valid UK Category CE (Class
1) driving licence
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
Good spoken and written English
A professional and reliable approach to work
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Desirable

Experience:

Previous commercial driving experience
Training Provided:
Driver assessment required prior to start
Full industry-related training provided with ongoing support throughout your assignment
