This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team delivering essential infrastructure works, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing, monitoring, and managing project programmes to ensure successful delivery.
The Role
Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and the wider delivery team, you'll be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed project programmes, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and supporting project performance throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update project programmes from pre-construction through to completion.
Produce baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.
Monitor programme performance and identify delays, risks, and opportunities.
Work closely with project teams to ensure programmes accurately reflect site activities.
Support tender planning and resource forecasting.
Prepare programme reports and presentations for internal and client meetings.
Analyse project data to support informed decision-making.
Assist with change management and programme recovery where required.
Promote best practice in planning processes and reporting.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Planner within civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities.
Experience delivering water and/or wastewater projects is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of project planning principles and programme management.
Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
APM or equivalent project management qualification (desirable).
