Job Title
Packaging Technologist – Cumbria
Salary£35-45k (Depending on experience)
Responsibilities- Implement new packaging projects including factory acceptance trials and roll out of new carton and flexible designs and finishes.
- Lead local Packaging Development and Maintenance activity in coordination with Regional Packaging Developers, Team Leaders, Procurement and Mill Packaging Engineers.
- Support development and implementation of packaging improvement plans.
- Lead regional packaging improvement and cost‑saving projects in partnership with marketing team.
- Provide expertise in multifunction team discussions around equipment & other activities affecting packaging.
- Participate in initiatives that aim to improve consumer satisfaction and lead projects to reduce pack design sources of consumer dissatisfaction or complaint.
- Experience as a packaging engineer/technologist with implementation of new packaging projects.
- Knowledge of factory acceptance trials, carton and flexible designs and finishes.
- Leadership and coordination skills.
- Experience in packaging improvement plans and cost transformation.
