North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Band 5 Audiologist to join our Audiology Service. This ongoing locum role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based audiological assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation across adult and paediatric pathways.

What You Will Do

Conduct audiological assessments, including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and speech testing.

Diagnose hearing and balance disorders within scope of practice according to protocols.

Provide hearing aid assessments, fittings, fine-tuning, and aftercare using digital hearing aid technology.

Educate and counsel patients through workshops and one‑on‑one sessions to support communication needs.

Identify and refer patients needing further medical or specialist intervention.

Manage a defined caseload, prioritising workload to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with Trust policies and professional standards.

Collaborate with Audiologists, ENT colleagues, Hearing Therapists, and administrative staff to enhance team performance.

Support the training and supervision of students and support staff, fostering a learning environment.

Participate in service development, quality improvement projects, audits, and evaluations.
