Insurance Technician

Our client seeks an Insurance Technician to join their team.

This role involves administering policy documentation, declaring Additional Premiums, processing endorsements and renewals, liaising with brokers and underwriters, and ensuring compliance with the relevant sanctions framework.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and have strong knowledge of policy documentation and insurance terminology. They are seeking an organised individual who can manage multiple priorities and support a hardworking and busy team.

• Prepare, process, and maintain insurance policies, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
• Deal with over 300 shipping companies.
• Declare and process Additional Premium calls.
• Liaise with brokers, members, underwriters and claims handlers.
• Maintain accurate records within the electronic filing systems.
• Assist with AP calls to sanctioned counties.
• Assist with ship renewals.
• Respond to broker and client enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures, service standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Knowledge of policy documentation and insurance terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ideally three years of work experience.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Experience in insurance administration, technical processing, or underwriting support.
• Experience with in marine or war risks insurance would be desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with sanctions compliance and geopolitical risk factors would be desirable.
