Senior Accountant - REMOTE!

The Senior Accountant will report to and work closely with the Controller and will have high visibility to the Senior Executive team. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow within the Accounting Organization. This role will be responsible for day to day, monthly, and quarterly monitoring of financial activities.

• Bookkeeping within Quickbooks Online including but not limited to transaction matching, bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring transactions related to certain e-commerce stores are classed to that store, and other ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
• Ensure that all transactions are coded correctly and sync’d to Quickbooks
• Management of both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Run bi-weekly payroll along with reconciling all payroll expenses and liabilities on a monthly basis;
• Reconciling online sales data with the ability to report on gross revenue along with analysis of related sales channel fees and the respective reporting within Quickbooks Online
• Compile monthly Royalty Reporting and calculations for revenue reporting and Quickbooks reporting to identify respective cost of goods sold deductions
• Work directly with Sales to gather and report on monthly sales tax
• Assist management with monthly journal entries for revenue reconciliations, shopify/paypal fees, prepaid expenses, gift card liabilities, and any others that may arise in the course of business
• Identifies and Implements areas of opportunity to modify or enhance existing processes and procedures along with documenting current processes
• Work with warehouse to review inventory purchases and the related accounting around Inventory and COGS
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required
• Solid understanding and knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Experience with ERP integrations
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Quickbooks Online
• Experience with Royalty Reporting is a plus
• Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures as relates to general ledger accounting
