Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of intelligent water metering solutions. We are experiencing significant demand for our products and focused massively on the development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption.
Responsibilities- Central point of contact for Product Management to the North American Sales Team.
- Contribute to future product strategies, collect customer input, and survey competitive products for new requirements.
- Gather market and product requirements and provide business case input.
- Manage pre-launch activities in close cooperation with Solution and Application Product Managers.
- Drive new product and solution launches together with Marketing and close co-operation with global Product Management and Technology.
- Full Product Management ownership of products that are unique to the North American market.
- Work closely with global Product Management to ensure alignment and the right balance between North American market needs and global priorities.
- Drive business cases and gate preparations, including specifications, product positioning, commercial viability, and financial solidification for those products that are unique to the North American market ensuring alignment and buy in with Sales, global Product Management, Technology, Finance, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation are in place and up to date for the North American product portfolio.
- Manage in alignment with global functions phase out of products when relevant, including minimizing scrap and adverse market effects.
- Set prices for the North American product portfolio and ensure these are uploaded to relevant systems and price lists in cooperation with Sales and the overall Water BU strategy and margin aspirations.
- Support product and solution training for sales organization.
- Educate sales team in application knowledge and system solutions.
- Build-up application knowledge within water networks and utilities.
- Strategic sales support (i.e., RFP’s, new products/solutions, customer visits).
- Participate and present at trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars.
- Develop product and solutions presentations, product briefs, white papers, and application relevant articles together with Marketing.
- Assist Solution Product Manager in product planning and North American roadmaps.
- Assist Solution Product Manager track commercial product performance.
- Secure structured input for long-term product portfolio development for relevant market.
- Secure structured market input for commercial product managers regarding customer and product line requirements.
- Deliver market knowledge and understanding for relevant commercial product managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT or Mechanical or related field or experience.
- Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- 10+ years of product management or water utility experience.
- Production optimization, continuous improvement, product configuration knowledge.
- Have international experience and knowledge to be successful in a global company.
- Strong technical as well as commercial skills.
- Have product management experience.
- Excellent collaboration skills and like to build up cross functional relationships.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Structured and analytic.
