• Deliver primary care services to patients, treating a wide range of medical conditions and developing long-term, personal relationships with patients.
• Develop individualized healthcare programs based on patient history data and provide ongoing support and health management guidance.
• Promote continuity of care by collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
• Educate patients in health management and disease prevention.
• Assist in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines; participate in medical staff peer review, performance improvement, continuing education, risk management and clinical indicator selection.
• Supervise physician assistants/nurse practitioners on day-to-day activities where appropriate.
• Evaluate phone calls and determine appropriate dispositions; document in the Health Record using EMR (Allscripts/Veradigm).
• Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the Georgia Composite Board based on the Georgia Medical Practice Act.

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required; current State of Georgia license in good standing.
• Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required.
• Current Georgia Medical License required.
• Valid DEA required.
• Completion of a family practice/internal medicine residency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; caring, attentive nature.
• Working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; use fine motor skills to operate office equipment.
• Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing; use logical reasoning for problem solving.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required.
