Your RoleAs a Sports Massage Therapist, you’ll work with athletes and active individuals who rely on your expertise to stay at the top of their game. You’ll provide targeted massage therapy to help clients recover faster, prevent injuries, and improve performance—all in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Your Day‑to‑Day- Build meaningful connections with clients while assessing their needs and tailoring treatments to their goals.
- Apply specialized techniques to reduce soreness, improve flexibility, and enhance overall conditioning.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Enjoy a manageable caseload that allows you to give each client the time and attention they deserve.

Key Responsibilities- Client Assessment – evaluate clients’ physical activities and needs to determine effective massage techniques.
- Treatment Application – use specialized techniques (effleurage, petrissage, compression) to address muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce soreness.
- Performance Enhancement – employ massage to maintain conditioning and improve athletic performance.
- Injury Prevention & Management – reduce risk of injury and assist with recovery to help athletes return to competition safely.
- Collaboration – work alongside coaches, athletic trainers, and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care.
- Graduate from an accredited massage therapy program.
- Active massage therapy license.
- Interest in sports massage and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
