Job Overview
American BOA, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of precision‑engineered flexible metal components for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. We are seeking a detail‑oriented Aerospace Assembly Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively work collaboratively within the assigned work team to ensure quality and client specifications are met and product is shipped on time.
- Operate shearing and rolling equipment to cut and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
- Sand or polish parts by hand to prepare them for welding or inspection, ensuring smooth and clean surfaces.
- Thoroughly clean parts to prepare them for quality inspections, removing any contaminants or residues.
- Utilize laser etching equipment to mark parts as required, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Assemble and stuff bellows tubes with the required materials, following detailed work instructions.
- Read and understand basic technical documentation, including blueprints and work instructions.
- Accurately complete required forms and documentation, ensuring all data is correctly recorded.
- Assemble aerospace components and sub‑assemblies according to specifications and work instructions.
- Use various hand tools and equipment to perform assembly tasks, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Inspect assembled parts and components to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and report any defects or discrepancies in the assembly process.
- Conduct inspections of parts to verify they meet quality standards and specifications, documenting findings as necessary.
- Mathematical skills: proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and understanding fractions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
- Competence in operating various manufacturing and inspection tools and equipment.
- Attention to detail to ensure all parts meet stringent quality standards.
- Effective communication skills to understand and follow instructions, as well as to document and report findings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with metalworking processes and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and other typical conditions of a production facility.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift materials as required.
