American BOA, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Aerospace Assembly Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sheet metal processing, part preparation, cleaning, and inspection to maintain our high‑quality standards. Basic math skills, the ability to read and understand technical documentation, and proficiency in filling out required forms accurately are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure quality and client specifications are met and products shipped on time.
  • Shear and Roll Sheet Metal
    • Operate shearing and rolling equipment to cut and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
    • Sand or polish parts by hand to prepare them for welding or inspection, ensuring smooth and clean surfaces.
  • Clean Parts for Inspection
    • Thoroughly clean parts to prepare them for quality inspections, removing any contaminants or residues.
  • Laser Etch Parts
    • Utilize laser etching equipment to mark parts as required, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Prepare and Stuff Bellows Tubes
    • Assemble and stuff bellows tubes with the required materials, following detailed work instructions.
  • Technical Documentation
    • Read and understand basic technical documentation, including blueprints and work instructions.
    • Accurately complete required forms and documentation, ensuring all data is correctly recorded.
  • Component Assembly
    • Assemble aerospace components and sub‑assemblies according to specifications and work instructions.
    • Use various hand tools and equipment to perform assembly tasks, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Quality Inspection
    • Inspect assembled parts and components to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Identify and report any defects or discrepancies in the assembly process.
    • Conduct inspections of parts to verify they meet quality standards and specifications, documenting findings as necessary.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills
    • Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and understanding fractions.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Competence in operating various manufacturing and inspection tools and equipment.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Keen attention to detail to ensure all parts meet stringent quality standards.
  • Communication Skills
    • Effective communication skills to understand and follow instructions, and to document and report findings.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with metalworking processes and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Working Conditions
    • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and other typical conditions of a production facility.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift materials as required.
