REGISTERED NURSE – ONCOLOGY

Day Shift (8H)

• Patient Care
  :
  Administer chemotherapy, radiation, and other cancer treatments while monitoring patients for side effects and complications.
• Assessment
  :
  Conduct health assessments to evaluate patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Education
  :
  Educate patients and their families about cancer diagnoses, treatment options, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
• Coordination
  :
  Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Symptom Management
  :
  Manage symptoms related to cancer and its treatment, providing palliative care to ensure patient comfort.
• Documentation
  :
  Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Advocacy
  :
  Advocate for patient needs and concerns within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
• Research Participation
  :
  Engage in cancer research and clinical trials as needed to improve patient outcomes and nursing practices.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience

Licenses/Certifications

• Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
