Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift Med/Surg Acute Surgery Unit position requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS & NIHSS certification.

• Position is in an acute surgery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• No on-call required
• Local candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Returning permanent staff must have at least a 2-year break before applying as a traveler
• Time off requests must be submitted up front and cannot be requested after offer
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Strict compliance process must be completed before start
• RTO (requested time off) is not permitted after offer acceptance

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience with specialty
• Must provide copies of AHA certifications and a valid driver’s license for consideration
