The Manager of the IMCU & PCU has the primary responsibility for overseeing daily patient care operations for this department. Required to frequently apply a set of management principles to the smooth operations of the department. Must be capable of independent judgement and decision making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services, physician relations and administrative or professional programs. Has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for assigned area.
Our IMCU has 16 beds dedicated to providing specialized medical attention to adult patients. We have a team of skilled healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and support staff, working to ensure every patient’s comfort, safety, and well-being.
Partnering with our IMCU is our PCU housing 36 beds, offering specialized care and continuous hemodynamic monitoring tailored to serving patients with a wide range of complex medical conditions including acute cardiac events, severe respiratory failure, sepsis, and more.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily patient care operations for the IMCU and PCU department.
- Apply management principles to ensure smooth operations, budget consideration, and personnel management.
- Exercise independent judgement and decision making in budget, personnel, patient services, physician relations and administrative or professional programs.
- Maintain twenty-four (24) hour accountability for the assigned area.
IMCU has 16 beds for adult patient care. PCU has 36 beds with continuous hemodynamic monitoring for patients with complex medical conditions including acute cardiac events, severe respiratory failure, and sepsis.
Qualifications- B.S. degree in Nursing or related healthcare field and a minimum of three (3) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Two (2) years clinical experience in specialty area.
- Prefer at least (5) years experience.
