Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position in an Acute GI Medicine Unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and minimum 2 years of specialty experience.

• Work in an Acute GI Medicine Unit within a hospital setting
• Thirty-four-bed unit with all private acute care rooms and telemetry capability
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three shifts per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• No on-call required
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Responsibilities include caring for GI and COVID medical/surgical patients
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before applying as a traveler
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted up front and cannot be added after offer
• Dress code or scrub requirements not specified
• First time travelers will be considered

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or related specialty experience
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring preferred
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
