Veterinary Assistant

Animal Medical Center of Cumming is looking for full-time Veterinary Assistants
. With three doctors, we have been dedicated to providing the best care possible since 1995 and we are looking for responsible, hardworking, confident and enthusiastic people to join our team! We are a veterinary hospital with a large boarding/kennel facility, digital radiology, ECG/EKG and ultrasound capabilities.

• Performing and assisting with vaccinations
• Laboratory sample collection
• Safe animal handling and restraint
• Obtaining x‑rays
• Running in‑house laboratory tests
• Assisting doctors and technicians with pre‑surgical prep
• Anesthetic monitoring and post‑operative monitoring and care
• Collecting patient histories, reviewing treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients
• Filling medications and explaining instructions to clients at pick‑up
• Performing dental cleanings
• Daily and routine cleaning
• Performing other tasks and assisting staff members as needed
