RISE DVM​/VMD Mentorship Program

Overview

The RISE Mentorship Program is a year-long immersive experience designed to support new veterinary graduates as they transition from academia into clinical practice. RISE Centers pair new graduate veterinarians with experienced mentors to provide hands-on learning, real-time case management, and professional development. Participants join a nationwide cohort of peers, building a supportive network that lasts beyond the program.

• New veterinary graduates who are eager to practice high-quality medicine and grow their clinical skills in a supportive, real-world setting.
• Candidates interested in working in General Practice (GP), Emergency (ER), or Mixed Animal Practices, depending on location availability.

• Full-time employment in a RISE Center with hands-on mentorship, while gradually transitioning to independently managing a caseload.
• Dual Mentorship Model:
  On-site support from a "home hospital" mentor and centralized guidance from the national mentorship team.

Founded by Dr. John McGruder, the team at Crestview Animal Hospital has been a trusted provider of general practice veterinary care to Cumming, Georgia and the surrounding areas since 1984. The team officially joined our network at Pet Vet in 2022, and in January of this year, we launched a brand-new emergency department. Working in collaboration with our 7-doctor general practice team in a state-of-the-art facility, our emergency doctors offer overnight services 7 days a week with extended daytime hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

• Guaranteed base salary starting at $110k+, with potential to earn more based on performance and location.

Our RISE program is designed to help early-career professionals take the first step in their veterinary journey—with opportunities to build hands-on experience, deepen their knowledge, and be part of a team that truly cares. Participants will gain exposure to our growing continuing education (CE) program, supporting long-term growth and development across clinical and leadership pathways.

Pay Range
$110,000 - $110,000 USD
