We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team.

: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional amount on top of the hourly rate.

Position Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This role sets a customer-centric tone for the store.
Together with the Store Manager, this role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met. You will support asset protection, store promotion, and customer acquisition. Employees work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms in FFL locations.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a store-performance bonus. Actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager (representative list; other duties may be assigned):
- Foster a customer-centric environment and address customer issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-approved channels.
- Open/close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection via inventory control and security procedures.
- Administer processes in inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Meet or exceed First Cash operating standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and to work with firearms (certification may be required).
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Ability to work in multiple locations and on a flexible retail schedule (weekends/holidays).
- Expect 40+ hours per week; hours based on business needs.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Cash handling experience required; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
