Master Electrician role at ABM Industries

Job Summary: The Master Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site
• Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature
• Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
• Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings
• Install, inspect and test electrical systems
• Perform installations including panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring
• Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
• Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson
• Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Seven years of experience as an electrician in the electrical field is required
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
• Must possess a master electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Seven years of experience as an electrician is preferred
• Prior experience as electrician in an industrial or commercial setting is preferred
