The OpportunityWe are seeking a Student Support Tutor to provide high quality educational, financial, and pastoral support to students across SRUC. The role involves assessing individual needs, coordinating appropriate learning and wellbeing support, and ensuring reasonable adjustments are implemented in line with the Equality Act. You will offer guidance on student funding, assist with applications to bursaries and support schemes, and help students navigate financial challenges affecting their studies.
Working closely with academic teams, external agencies, and specialist staff, you will act as a key point of contact for students experiencing health, wellbeing, or learning related difficulties—promoting inclusion, safeguarding student welfare, and contributing to the development of supportive policies, systems, and curriculum. Strong communication, discretion, and the ability to build positive relationships are essential.
Minimum QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 9 in a relevant subject and/or have a relevant professional qualification(s) and/or significant relevant experience.
