Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Production Artist / Retoucher to support their in-house creative team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has a sharp eye for detail. You’ll partner with photographers, videographers, designers, and production teams to retouch high-resolution product imagery, apply clean graphic overlays, and prepare visuals for global publication.

Responsibilities:

• Retouch and process high-resolution images of complex technical products for a variety of uses.
• Apply graphic overlays and annotations that enhance clarity and maintain consistency with style guides.
• Maintain organized, shareable files with accurate layer structures and naming conventions.
• Collaborate closely with partners across photography, video, design, and production.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and support workflow improvements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial photo retouching experience, ideally within a high-volume environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; strong knowledge of Illustrator and Creative Suite.
• Strong skills in background removal, color correction, and image optimization.
• Understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, and proportion.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility, and localization is a plus.
• Exposure to motion graphics or video workflows.
• Experience working with enterprise brand guidelines.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Location: Austin, TX — Hybrid (on-site + remote)

Duration: 3-month contract with potential extension.

Salary Range: $45-56 DOE
