Architectural Director

We are seeking an Architectural Director to provide design vision, technical leadership, and strategic oversight across AED’s growing portfolio. This role involves leading and inspiring a team of architects and designers to create innovative and sustainable solutions that align with client expectations and organizational goals. The Architectural Director will serve as the primary point of contact for high‑profile projects, collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Leadership:
Establish and maintain AED’s architectural vision, ensuring excellence and consistency across all projects.

• Project Oversight:
Review and approve design concepts and documentation for quality, innovation, and compliance with regulations.

• Strategic Planning:
Align architectural direction with firm objectives, client needs, and market opportunities.

• Team Leadership:
Mentor senior architects, designers, and project managers, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.

• Client & Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, investors, municipalities, and community stakeholders.

• Business Development:
Support growth through participation in presentations, competitions, and high‑profile client engagements.

• Governance & Compliance:
Ensure all projects meet safety, sustainability, zoning, and code requirements.

• Innovation:
Champion emerging technologies (BIM, AI‑driven design, modular systems) and sustainable practices.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).

• Licensed Architect (RA or equivalent licensure).

• 15+ years of professional experience, including leadership on complex, large‑scale projects.

• Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership in residential and mixed‑use projects.

• Expertise in sustainable design, building codes, and advanced technologies (BIM, digital design tools, visualization platforms).

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to balance creative vision with commercial, regulatory, and client priorities.
