SAT English Tutor

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified and passionate SAT English Tutor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate has a strong command of SAT Reading, Writing, and grammar concepts, as well as the ability to teach effective test‑taking strategies. This is a part‑time role with flexible scheduling and the potential for long‑term collaboration based on performance and student demand.

• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group instruction in SAT Reading & Writing
• Teach students core concepts, including:
  • Reading comprehension
  • Rhetoric and text analysis
  • SAT grammar rules and conventions
  • Sentence structure, transitions, and logical flow
• Develop personalized learning plans based on student needs
• Assign and review practice tests, providing detailed feedback
• Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and student engagement

• Bachelor’s degree required (English, Linguistics, Education, or related field preferred)
• Prior experience teaching SAT English or test prep strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of SAT Reading and Writing content and scoring
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently
• Familiarity with current SAT question formats and trends
• Experience working with middle or high school students

• Master’s degree in Education, English, or related discipline
• Prior experience in private tutoring, test prep centers, or similar academic settings
• Ability to teach both online and in‑person
