Description

Apple’s Biophotonics group is seeking a hands‑on clinical systems integration engineer to collaborate with an R&D team developing a new generation of bio‑sensing technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating biomedical instruments and prototypes into clinical research studies involving human subjects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead for readying instruments, prototypes, and associated procedures for clinical studies
  • Prove‑in test fixtures, prototypes and data collection software
  • Develop SOPs for data collection and train study operators
  • Analyze data and communicate results to cross‑functional teams
  • Understand clinical study use cases and identify study‑specific requirements/workflows
  • Collaborate with HW and SW engineers to test/troubleshoot prototypes in clinical setting
  • Collaborate with clinical team to maintain instruments throughout study execution
  • Extended domestic travel to vendor sites is required
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Hands‑on experience setting up and using biomedical instruments
  • Experience analyzing biomedical data
  • Experience with data analysis in Python or Matlab
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience with human subjects research
  • Demonstrated ability to bring up and troubleshoot instrument prototypes
  • Good understanding of biomedical/physiological signals
  • Detail‑oriented and organized with excellent interpersonal skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
