Aloft Cupertino is currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will supervise the housekeeping staff and inspect hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobby. Responsibilities include but not limited to training, planning, assigning, and directing staff as well as addressing and resolving guest complaints.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate staffing schedules to ensure the proper cleaning of public areas, guest rooms.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all guest rooms, public areas, and bathrooms.
  • Responsible for housekeeping inventory, supplies and equipment are ordered, as well as being managed and maintained safely.
  • Ensure staff is trained on the safe handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with department and is compliant with state, federal and local standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA, and any other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents.
  • Develop a daily deployment of housekeeper’s base on hotel occupancy, arrivals, and departures.
  • Maintain and document all personal and departmental documents pertaining to the housekeeping department, from payroll to inventory.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental communication to effectively provide customer support.
  • Monitor and act on special requests as needed, VIPs, special needs rooms, etc.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Requirements
  • Min of 2 yrs. experience in a hotel environment.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping.
  • Previous experience or training in supervision and scheduling preferred.
  • Cleaning Experience
  • Data Entry skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work weekends / holidays
